Point of Departure is an eclectic string quartet which performs original instrumental music.  Pictured below from left to right are: Robert Shenfeld (mandolin and acoustic guitar); Dan Cutaia (bass); Felix Moxter (viola); and Duane Eby (acoustic guitar). 

Point of Departure's sound contains elements of jazz, blues, rock, pop, traditional music and folk all blended together in song formats that defy easy categorizing.  But if you have a leaning toward David Grisman's sound or Django Reinhardt's moods you might like us.
